I’ve been working on a multitasking interface for the iPhone for the past couple of weeks, and I now have something to show for the work that I’ve done. Check out the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrGLGoB88So (or below).
I plan on putting this up for sale on the Cydia store within a few days, if not sooner. I’d love to hear any comments anyone might have on it.
Tweet about this using #multifl0w hashtag!
I’ll be tweeting about my progress on this, follow me for updates: twitter.com/aaronash
Edit: I just posted a shorter video, check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-jcclXaUk4
Hi!!
Just to suggest you a idea
active the app flow with a pinchout when you are on the springboard
it is fantasticaly ergonomic to have this method to swith application
I think if you add this to your amazing App it will be a killer!!
Best!
Also it could be useful to enable a
double fimger tap shorcut
Or something else that we could launch every time
I can’t wait to install this app. Looks like it will save lots of time switching between app is the way to do things more efficient.
I love this app already and I done have it yet.
iPhoneJohnny
very nice! im writing about it
I’m a little confused as to how you launched the “flow”…. did you double click the home button?
this looks really great by the way!
That’s a sweet app. Excellent work. Are you gonna add the ability to swipe up to close the apps like on the Pre?
Cant wait to get it!!
YOU NEED TWO THINGS:
1) DIFFERENT WAYS TO INVOKE IT (1 PRESS , 2 PRESS, ETC.)
2) A WAY TO LAUNCH FAVORITES LIKE KIRAKE SINCE THAT APP HAS TO BE UNINSTALLED.
Hi,
There are a few things u need to work on.
1) Other ways of invoking it, single or double press of the home button or by pressing and holding the home button for a short period.
2) Like David just said, a way to launch favourites like Kirikae
3) This is THE MOST IMPORTANT point.. Include a way to close a running app from the multiflow menu itself instead of using backgrounder (press and hold the home button) in the particular app to close it. With Kirikae a person can not only multi task but can close running apps easily as well. if u can include these features in your app it will be the best multi tasking app by far and i dont see why anyone would not buy it. But these things are crucial and have to be included, the last point especially.
Hi
will it work on 2G 3.1.2 ?
Can I be a tester ? (guinea pig)
Thanks
I know that Kirikae does not support it, but having an option to swipe (perhaps under the dock) to open multifl0w would be nice. Something about relying on moving parts that worries me. I would also like to see an option for seeing all running applications at once. However, I know I wouldn’t be running 14 apps at once like the video. Is there a way to shut down the programs from this interface and will it be a paid app?
I’ve been testing this and it’s very cool & useful, but there are a couple of improvements I’d like to see:
- the ability to omit the native background apps like Mail and iPod. I have these on my Dock, and can launch them faster from there.
- different view choices. Personally, I’d prefer to just see a screen full of icons of the currently running apps instead of the flowing screenshots, Some folks might even prefer a text list.
- as others have mentioned, other ways to invoking Multifl0w would be appreciated as well.
Thanks!
A way to close programs from multifl0w would be fantastic – an x in the top-corner similar to the way you close tabs in safari would work well…
Have you ever considered adding more videos to your blog posts to keep the readers more entertained? I mean I just read through the entire article of yours and it was quite good but since I’m more of a visual learner,I found that to be more helpful well let me know how it turns out. This is good…thanks for sharing
Great work, great app. Have a question tho (installed on 3GS 3.1.2), apps that have been enabled by Backgrounder do not show the *splat* icon on app’s icon. Any ideas?… reinstall?
